FACILITATING A THEORY OF CHANGE
IN-PERSON TRAINING WORKSHOP
COMING IN 2025
Do you think your organisation, programme or project could benefit from a Theory of Change? Do you have our Theory of Change Guide but are still feeling unsure? Our one-day training workshop will help get you started by providing a safe and supportive space to practice developing a Theory of Change and learn some helpful facilitation techniques before embarking on the real thing.
ABOUT THE TRAINING
Developing a Theory of Change (ToC) is not a solo endeavour and always works best when it is developed collaboratively with the key internal and external stakeholders One of its key benefits is the conversations that are enabled during development, however, managing the input from different parts of the organisation and partners demands confidence and sound facilitation skills. This one-day workshop takes you through the different ways to approach developing a ToC, and explores some of the common challenges and how to deal with them by providing facilitation techniques to support the process.
What we'll cover
-
The different approaches to developing a ToC
-
Techniques that you can use during group workshops
-
How to use ToC as part of project management
What you'll gain
-
The confidence to support ToC development
-
Time to use or refresh project-appropriate facilitation skills
-
The opportunity to practise developing a ToC in a supportive workshop environment
What to expect
Working in groups, we will guide you through the process of developing a ToC, in the first instance with the trainers facilitating before a volunteer in your group takes over. There will be time to reflect on the process, what worked, what was challenging, and what changes you might make. Although in-person,
We use a scenario to apply the exercises to, however, if any attendees have a project, programme or portfolio of work in mind we invite you to bring it along. We will also incorporate opportunities to practise with both digital and analogue facilitation approaches.
This is a hands-on, in-person workshop that invites participants to get involved in lots of group work with opportunities to practice and apply the methods and approaches we'll cover. Numbers will be limited to allow for an inclusive, interactive and full participative session.
This one-day workshop costs £650+VAT per person and £325+VAT for not-for-profits.
We'll have more information coming in the new year, so to register your interest and be the first to know, please sign up using the form below.
