Our consultants have extensive experience with developing, reviewing and editing impact case studies for the Research Excellence Framework. 

Saskia worked closely with a number of universities on their impact submission for REF2021, including Birmingham City University, who:

• Ranked top in the country for Unit of Assessment 27, achieving 100% 4* impact case studies

• Achieved at least 3* GPA for impact in each of the UoAs Saskia advised on

• Achieved a higher percentage of 4* case studies compared to 2014 across three of the UoAs Saskia worked on

• Increased market share compared to 2014 across four UoAs Saskia worked on

Looking ahead to REF2029, WCL is working with institutions on preparing their next impact and engagement submissions.

 

We have developed the WCL case study evaluation and progression framework, which is assisting senior teams at several institutions with identifying, reviewing and refining their impact pipelines not just to 2029, but 2036 and beyond.
