About me
I have 20 years of experience in a variety of senior roles in the Higher Education sector. I started as Head of Communications and Public Engagement at a national funding council then moved to a university as a research impact manager. For the last decade, as an external consultant, I have worked with many different institutions in the UK and internationally and have first-hand knowledge of the challenges facing researchers and their organisations in realising, demonstrating and communicating economic and societal impact from their research. Working with research is both my passion and a privilege. I have made that passion and expertise the foundation of what we do at Walcott Communications in supporting institutions and their researchers to develop the strategies and skills they need to maximise their research impact.
I am an ARMA Board Director and Chair of its Professional Development Committee. I also sit on the Training Endorsment Committee for the International Professional Recognition Council (IPRC). I have an MSc in Public Policy and have conducted research on the effect of the UK’s impact policies on arts and humanities scholars.
